Praia Grande is a municipality located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of Baixada Santista, and covers an area of 57.63 square miles (149.25 square kilometers). The city has undergone a period of political and economic emancipation, and has since then experienced rapid growth and development in areas such as infrastructure and urbanization. It is known as a spa municipality, and its main shopping street is Avenida Presidente Costa e Silva, Forte. For tourists, there is the Litoral Plaza Shopping, Avenida Ayrton Senna da Silva, 1511, with 220 shops, restaurants, supermarkets and accommodation options. Its mild climate, with temperatures around 82F (28C), makes Praia Grande a pleasant destination for spending some time. [1], [3]
